A 9x12 poly mailer is typically about 9 in x 12 in when laid flat, which is roughly 22.9 cm x 30.5 cm (usable bag area, not counting the flap). Interior capacity is a bit less because of side seams, and it feels smaller once the contents have thickness.

A 9x12 mailer works well for small, lightweight, non-fragile items like a folded t-shirt, a thin long-sleeve, leggings, a light kids' outfit, small soft accessories, or a couple of thin garments packed flat.

A hoodie is a maybe. A thin, small hoodie can fit if you fold it tightly, but it’s usually a tight pack, and you may end up stretching the seams or fighting the seal. If it does fit, expect very little extra room.

Apparel that usually fits comfortably includes most tees, tanks, thin blouses, lightweight pajamas, leggings, underwear packs, socks, and light knit tops. Bulkier items like adult hoodies, sweatshirts, jeans, and thick sweaters often need a larger size.

It’s close to A4 but not the same. A4 paper is about 8.27 x 11.69 inches, so a 9x12 mailer is slightly wider and slightly taller, which makes it a common “A4-ish” mailer size for shipping.
